A great opportunity has arisen for a part time experienced Housekeeper to join our small team of hard-working individuals who pride themselves with providing a first class service. 

Derian House provides symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as short break respite care to babies, children, young people and their families with life limiting conditions across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester. Supported by our dedicated multi-disciplinary teams we are able to provide a wide range of support and care in a variety of settings, including in-house within our Hospice in Chorley and in the wider community.

You will have previous experience of cleaning in line with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness and following Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines. A background in cleaning in a clinical environment such as a hospital, clinic or hospice is preferred. Your main responsibilities will be maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and housekeeping throughout of the Hospice including bedrooms, bathrooms, family flats and office areas.

Hours: 30 hours.  Occasional cover will be required to cover sickness and holidays over 7 days a week.

Location: Derian House Children’s Hospice, Chancery Road, Chorley, PR7 1DH.

We provide respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people across the North West. We do this 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We never close to those who need us.
