At interview, or in a separate discussion, Derian House Children's Hospice ensures that an open and measured discussion takes place on the subject of any offences or other matter that might be relevant to the position. Failure to reveal information that is directly relevant to the position sought could lead to withdrawal of an offer to volunteer.

All volunteer appointments are subject to satisfactory reference checks.
Please supply details of two references who must have known you for at least two years and preferably from a work, education or volunteer capacity (no family or Derian House staff members will be accepted for your reference). References will only be obtained if you have been successful.

Building Painter & Decorating Volunteer
Help us create welcoming, inspiring spaces at Derian House! Every room in our hospice plays an important role in bringing comfort, joy, and positivity to the babies, children, young people, and families we support.
We’re looking for a Building Painter & Decorating Volunteer with experience to support our Facilities Team in keeping all rooms and corridors looking their best. Whether working independently or as part of a team, your skills will make a real difference to our hospice environment, helping create fun and welcoming spaces that everyone can enjoy.
What you’ll be doing:
Prepare and paint walls, woodwork, and other surfaces
Apply finishes and decorative touches to create fun, inviting spaces
Work independently or collaboratively on projects with our facilities team.
Maintain a safe environment for yourself and others, in accordance with Health & Safety policies and risk assessments
